Terri screened as part of the dramatic competition at Sundance this year, and then again in Austin at the SXSW Film Festival.
John C. Reilly and newcomer Jacob Wysocki star in the bittersweet story, written by Patrick Dewitt and directed by Azazel Jacobs,?of a big, picked-on kid who gets surprising support from his high school principal.
Aside from the film's appealing tone and message, its biggest selling point is that it was produced by Lynette Howell of Silverwood Films and Alex Orlovsky of Artists Public Domain. Howell and Orlovsky also produced Blue Valentine and Half Nelson, two of the best independent films of the last decade.
ATO Pictures will release Terri July 1 for everyone who wants an alternative to Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Check out the trailer:
